My name is Christina Favuzzi and I am a journalism major at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, CA. I am originally from Santa Barbara, CA where I began my dance career at the ripe age of four. Ballet has been a steady obsession in my life since age five and I can say with confidence that it has defined who I am.

Although I am writing Lashes and Leotards for my web journalism class, I am really writing it for all the young dancers out there who need to hear from someone who understands why dancing is the most amazing feeling in the world. Dancers spend thousands of dollars and hours on perfecting their craft. They bruise their bodies, blister their feet, slather on thick makeup, and slick their hair back. Are we crazy? Of course. But we love it. So if you’re a crazy dancer, just love dance from a viewing perspective, or have a friend that seems absolutely insane because of their dance addiction, I hope you will take a few minutes to read Lashes and Leotards. Merci!

Take more chances. Dance more dances. – Unknown
